Hooray for the beautiful weather
we've been having! I have been riding my bike to work a
LOT, and I'm grateful that Jim has been spending more time
in the yard now that he's retired--less mowing for me, but
I did help out over Memorial Day. We enjoyed playing for
some workshops at Dance Camp up at King's Lake in Wasilla.
The two featured guest bands were awesome: Holly Dill and
Crowfoot. I'm making plans for a trip back east in July,
to visit family, and hopefully catch the last part of Irish
Week in the Catskills -- yay!

Rode my bike to work for the first
time this year on April 27th. My back seems to be holding
up just fine, and I am practicing stretching exercises as
the Dr. has ordered. Juneau was a blast, so was playing
for the Symphony with Jim and Amanda. Hooray for Spring!
Some rabbits have moved into our yard recently, and Jim
says they have been eating the needles off of the young
fir trees that we planted last fall. Hmmm, I hope they don't
like rhubarb!!

I have been nursing a bad back for
the last few weeks, and was almost ready to cancel my trip
to Juneau. But after lots of bedrest and some muscle relaxers,
the pain seems to be fading away almost entirely. I guess
I will be heading to Juneau for the Folk Festival after
all. Yippee! I'll be taking it easy, though, and I certainly
won't be carrying my dulcimer around.
Shonti's new album is here!
